Small Lot Bottles Reinforces Commitment to Sustainability and Customer Satisfaction with Eco- Friendly Packaging Innovations for Warmer Weather Shipping

Wine Enthusiasts Can Now Enjoy Premium Wines with Peace of Mind—From Bottles to Packaging

Texas — June 2025 — Small Lot Bottles, known for its curated wine kit collection of exceptional wines, is pleased to announce innovative new packaging designed specifically to protect wine shipments during the warmer months. Reinforcing its commitment to both customer satisfaction and sustainability, Small Lot Bottles now offers eco-conscious packaging solutions that prioritize product integrity without
compromising environmental responsibility.

The integration of ISTA Certified materials, FedEx and UPS drop-tested, guarantees that each bottle of wine arrives in perfect condition, regardless of weather conditions or transit challenges.

Small Lot Bottles is proud to offer Green Cell Foam—an environmentally responsible alternative to traditional packaging materials. This foam is completely biodegradable and can be safely disposed of in your kitchen sink. It passes ISO 14853 standards for aqueous anaerobic biodegradation, making it an environmentally friendly option for wine lovers who care about sustainability. Additionally, Green Cell Foam significantly reduces carbon footprints by 30-40%, enhancing recyclability and cutting down on
waste compared to traditional EPS thermal packaging.

“Shipping wine in warm weather is a real challenge, but we’ve designed our packaging to rise to that challenge sustainably,” said Abby Bogle, CEO of Small Lot Bottles. “Green Cell Foam helps us maintain wine quality while giving our customers an eco-friendly solution they can feel good about.”

Key Features of Small Lot Bottles’ Sustainable Packaging:

  • ISTA Certified Packaging: Tested to ensure protection during transit, meeting rigorous standards.
  • Green Cell Foam: Biodegradable and environmentally friendly, it dissolves safely in the kitchen sink, reducing plastic waste.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: Green Cell Foam reduces carbon footprints by 30-40%, providing a more sustainable alternative to traditional EPS thermal packaging.
  • Safe for Warm Weather: Engineered to maintain insulation and product safety during high temperatures.

The rollout of this sustainable packaging reflects Small Lot Bottles' broader strategy to align every aspect of the wine experience—from sourcing to delivery—with climate-conscious values. Over the past three years, Small Lot Bottles has remained committed to sustainability by recycling over 20 tons of glass and
6 tons of cardboard. The company aims to reduce packaging waste by 50% by 2027 and achieve 100% recyclable or compostable packaging by 2030.

“Our customers can enjoy their wines knowing we’ve taken steps to protect both the bottle and the planet, even in the hottest months,” said Cody Harris, Director of Operations at Small Lot Bottles. “This is about doing what’s right for our community and the environment while still delivering a premium
product.”

With these new summer-ready materials, Small Lot Bottles continues to lead the way in sustainable direct-to-consumer wine shipping, providing an elevated experience for wine lovers who value both quality and environmental responsibility.
